Sustainability
Sustainability Commitment
At Meelmore, we recognise the vital importance of environmental and social responsibility within the textile and clothing industry. While we are not in a position to make
definitive sustainability claims, we are committed to continually improving our practices with integrity and intention. We endeavour to make thoughtful, responsible choices throughout our supply chain and operations, and we seek out partnerships and materials that align with our values of quality, longevity, and care for both people and the planet.
Our Focus Areas Include:
1. Responsible Sourcing
We work closely with our suppliers and manufacturers to understand the provenance of our materials. We encourage the use of fabrics and components that prioritise durability, lower-impact production methods, and responsible fibre selection where possible.
2. Quality and Longevity
We design our garments with purpose and durability in mind. By prioritising quality craftsmanship, we aim to extend the lifespan of our clothing and uniforms, reducing the frequency of replacement and contributing to a lower-waste approach.
3. Ethical Partnerships
We endeavour to partner with manufacturers and mills that operate in safe, fair, and well-regulated working conditions. We value transparency and open dialogue, and we recognise that ethical production is a cornerstone of long-term progress.
4. Waste Reduction
From minimising fabric offcuts to reducing packaging waste, we are actively exploring ways to reduce our environmental footprint in every area of our operations. We are also open to circular solutions and customer collaboration wherever viable.
5. Continuous Improvement
Sustainability is not a fixed destination — it’s a journey. We remain committed to learning, listening, and evolving. Our goal is not perfection, but progress — and we strive to make better decisions today than we did yesterday.
